The Neptune Marina building is a gentle 15 minute walk from Ipswich Rail Station that has direct trains to London, Norwich, Cambridge (all around an hour or less) and the Midlands. The station also has trains to Harwich (40 minutes), which has frequent ferry links to mainland Europe.
The beautiful Ipswich Waterfront is easily reached on The River Orwell through Ipswich lock at any state of the tide. The lock is open on free flow at high tides and lockable on request 24 hours a day.
